Vision Not Victim (VNV) is a girl-driven creative process that centers the experiences, voices, visions, and radical creativity of adolescent girls around the world.

Vision Gender Equity

Adolescent girls are among the most oppressed and abused in contexts around the world. During adolescence, while boys' worlds begin to expand with choices and opportunities, in many places the world for girls starts to shrink.

VNV Process

The VNV process supports girls in envisioning the futures they want, sharing those visions through collaborative media, and building the skills they need to pursue their aspirations. VNV also works with families and communities to end violence against girls and ensure they have access to equal chances and choices.

Growing A Global Movement

VNV has been facilitated with girls in 5 countries and with resettled refugee girls in the United States, and now has expanded to specifically address the reality and needs of girls from multiple communities living in America.

In this society my path was not easy – many people told me a girl can’t become an astronaut. Now that I have achieved my goals, I would tell young girls with aspirations to not be afraid, to talk to their parents about what they want and why, to always be confident and know where you want to go."
